Rooted in Amada since 1979
1979
Founder Danny J. Kwiatkowski begins his career at AMADA America, among its first 20 employees.
1995
Lapis Services Inc. is founded in Chicago, Illinois, as an independent Amada service company.
Late 1990s
Service and sales expand into Mexico, Canada and China.
Today
Headquartered in Valparaiso, Indiana, providing nationwide service, rebuilds and retrofits.

Founder, Director & Inventor
Danny began his career with AMADA in 1979 and was the first AMADA engineer covering the Midwest. Over the next 20 years he held roles across engineering, applications, training, sales and management, including instructor at the AMADA Programming School in Chicago, then co-founded Lapis Services in 1995.
